Elacor (Electro-Acoustic Orchestra) (click)

  • Elacor is a new professional-level orchestra with a different kind of focus than the traditional orchestra. The name Elacor is actually an acronym for Electro-Acoustic Orchestra. It's a 49-piece orchestra with a rhythm section and a synthesizer section in addition to the more traditional string, wind, brass, and percussion sections. We want to try new things and use technology within the orchestra in new ways. As an ensemble, we will record, perform, and teach. Also, much of the music we will play will be originals written specifically for this unique orchestral instrumentation, although we do plan to have some covers from popular culture in our live concerts as well.

Cantorum Chamber Choir (click)

  • Cantorum is a professional, Utah-based chamber choir dedicated to the performance of early music.  Cantorum will be performing in a side-by-side concert with the AISU choirs in Fall, 2015.

Summerhays Music (click)

  • Summerhays Music provides AISU students with exclusive discounts on instrument rentals (band, orchestra, guitar) and is currently loaning AISU a grand piano, an upright acoustic, two digital pianos, and various band/orchestra instruments (which allows AISU to offer instrument scholarships for qualifying students).
